Using AI for teaching?
Hey everyone, today I'm here with a brand new concept that my teacher Gökçe Hoca has shown us. She assigned us a homework to work on AI tools. She wanted us to speak to a persona created via AI.
The hardest part was trying to figure out how the app that my teacher provided for me worked. It was so complicated but I eventually got the hang of it. The easiest part was asking the questions and getting the answers. The answers were limited in vocabulary though. I think that is one the drawbacks of working with AI. But I guess that's what you get by working with AI since the answer is instantaneous and quick.
The potential benefits of AI would probably be, how fast we can get into information now. By just writing a sentence of your own, you can get an answer that is ninety per cent correct. In near future when I become a lecturer I will probably be force to use AI anyway... But even if I was forced or not I would still use it since it is so convenient and easy.
Let's talk about the actual conversation I had with the AI bot. I assigned it become Anne Frank, the author of The Diary of a Young Girl. I asked her several questions and got pretty decent answers for each of them. She and I talked about the Hitler regime at the time and how it effected everyone. We talked about her diary that was published thanks to her dad and the effect it had on all of us. I, for a fact, didn't actually know that it was her dad that published the diary for the public eye.
Eventually, I gathered everything we talked about and made it into a report. I took some quotes from her answers and I also added some of my own words into what she talked about in the report.
You can get to the report by clicking here
Also I got some writing feedback from the tool that I used.
