A farewell...

Today, I'm not here with anything new. I'm here to say goodbyes! Throughout my entire semester, I have enjoyed this class a lot. I learned things that I have never even heard of and I thought I was a digital native lol. Before this lecture I had positive thoughts about technological integration in any type of education and after this lecture this thought of mine just got more enhanced. It also gave me insight so I am not believing in technological integration in education blindly anymore! At least I know some things now. This lecture has contributed to my technological knowledge a lot. The video task we did taught me how to screen record and how to integrate video games into creating an actual video. The podcast task taught me how to use and create sound effects to be used in voice recordings and also since I did it with a friend of mine, it helped m socialize better and use teamwork achieve something. And the task we did were so revolutionary and refreshing in my opinion, I t...

Using AI for teaching?

Image
Hey everyone, today I'm here with a brand new concept that my teacher Gökçe Hoca has shown us. She assigned us a homework to work on AI tools. She wanted us to speak to a persona created via AI.  The hardest part was trying to figure out how the app that my teacher provided for me worked. It was so complicated but I eventually got the hang of it. The easiest part was asking the questions and getting the answers. The answers were limited in vocabulary though. I think that is one the drawbacks of working with AI. But I guess that's what you get by working with AI since the answer is instantaneous and quick.  The potential benefits of AI would probably be, how fast we can get into information now. By just writing a sentence of your own, you can get an answer that is ninety per cent correct. In near future when I become a lecturer I will probably be force to use AI anyway... But even if I was forced or not I would still use it since it is so convenient and easy. Let's talk ab...

Collaborative Writing?

Image
Hello everybody, today I'm here with a brand new homework that I have done for my Instructional Technologies class. Our beloved teacher requested us to watch a movie together and review it by  collaborative writing meaning she wanted us to write a film review together.  In the text we wrote we first talked about the film and briefly introduced it, gave further information on the movie and had three of our classmates review the text we created! The text also includes photos from the movie itself, a movie on Netflix called fractured, Mihriban  Çizme and Rabia  Çimen are the friends that I created my text with! You can go to their blogs by clicking their names.  The hardest part of creating the text was actually watching the film. I am not that much of a fan of thrillers or horror type of films but Mihriban recommended it and we watched it lol. It was my first time actually watching a thriller movie and the show had one of my favorite actors in it. ...

Guess what we have for you this week!

In our Instructional Technologies class with Gökçe Teacher, we talked about video creation. She instructed us to make a video of our liking and showed us examples.  In today's day of age video creation is literally the most inevitable thing a person can do. I'm sure we all were forced to create a video one way or the other or we willingly created videos to entertain or socialize with our friends.  Abdulhamit and I chose digital story telling for our video that we made for this lecture.  We used Roblox, a popular 3D game that a lot of people play for roleplaying, we got our roblox characters to do some really crazy things and we narrated the whole thing as well! The making of this video was so much fun!  But since this is the first ever video I have created and narrated, I don't know about Abdulhamit, I'm sure it has some amateur aspects as well. Fun fact about me, I used have a YouTube account that I fully spoke English and talked about random stuff but my pare...
